Enable Root user on Yosemite

The first task I had to do on the newly installed Mac OS X 10.10 (a.k.a. Yosemite) was enabling the root user.

  1. You first have to run the Directory Utility.
  2. Then go to the Edit menu and select "Enable Root User".
  3. You will be asked for the root password twice.
  4. You are done!

Mac OS X Yosemite (Beta)

I installed Mac OS X Yosemite earlier today.
I have also downloaded and installed Xcode 6 beta to start programming in Swift.

My first impression: the User Interface of Yosemite is very calm.
